Thor Ramsey has been a stand-up comedian for over three decades and was featured in three Thou Shalt Laugh comedy movies, which sold over half a million DVDs and were broadcast on Netflix and cable television. Aside from his own television series, Comedy At Large with Thor Ramsey, which aired for one season on the i-Life Network, he hosted the nationally syndicated comedy series Bananas. This family-friendly comedy series ran for four seasons, was broadcast into over 90 million homes, and was a favorite of twelve-year-olds everywhere, which is why, once a year, a forty-year-old recognizes him.
He wrote the screenplay and starred in the 2021 comedy feature film Church People, which was released during COVID. So, that worked out. It did make it to Netflix, however, and this is where the cult following begins. He wrote the screenplay for The Puppets of Pigeon Forge and will also star in it. This project begins filming in September 2026. And, yes, he's holding his breath.
In addition to his recently released novel The Honest Atheist, Thor has authored another novel, The End Times Comedy Show, and three nonfiction books: A Comedian’s Guide to Theology, Thor Ramsey’s Total Money Meltdown, and The Most Encouraging Book on Hell Ever, one of which he recommends.
Young men with beards love it.
